Regulars 02 by Thisispaper

Pared down, go-to bags handmade in Warsaw

Warsaw-based Thisispaper is an adventurous design studio that’s thrived in not only crafting local pieces (with fervent care toward environment and makers) but beautiful online and print content as well (which rarely features the brand, instead focusing the spotlight on other interesting makers of the moment). The small team has recently released their second iteration of Regulars: simple, everyday bags made to order by hand and 100% in Poland. Just in case you forget, “Made in Warsaw” is screenprinted with water-based paint on each bag; in some cases, it’s in many different languages.

Available in a variety of styles, there’s something to suit most people’s everyday needs: a backpack, shopper, drawstring bag and even a gigantic weekender—all from materials like denim manufactured in Poland, or heavy cotton sailcloth. These certainly aren’t decorative tote bags; they’re built to last for years.

We’ve got a sweet spot for the Transfer Bag—a beautiful hybrid between a fanny pack and messenger bag. A close look at the buckle, too, reveals not a cheap plastic one but a heavy-duty AustriAlpin COBRA quick release (used by the military).

Shop the new Regulars collection online from Thisispaper; if you’re looking for something even cleaner, their text-free line of classic backpacks lets the different natural materials speak for themselves.
