Wild Green Comet Coming Our Way Saturday Morning

For early risers on Saturday morning, a strange green comet will be visible. Comet 45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova (named for the three astronomers who discovered it back in 1948) will reach maximum brightness pre-dawn, but you’ll need binoculars or a small telescope to see it properly. It will be just 7.4 million miles from Earth, and will appear as a fuzzy bluish-green ball with a fan-shaped tail—proper cartoon cosmic stuff.
