Star Wars + Nixon Watch Collection

Announcing a four-piece series based on figures from the Dark Side of the Force

First and foremost, California's Nixon watch company creates detail-oriented wristwatches that beg to be worn out and about. Their attention to detail and clever wearability has never been more present than in the brand's latest collaboration, announced today 4 May 2015 (aka Star Wars Day). The Star Wars + Nixon Watch Collection, officially approved of by Disney, will soon debut with four timepieces—all based upon the nuances of villains in the series. These aren't action figures strapped to your wrist; they're watches that incorporate defining visual elements from Darth Vader, Boba Fett, a Storm Trooper and an Imperial Pilot—including a limited edition Darth Vader 51-30, based off one of Nixon's most popular models. When we previewed demo pieces at this year's Baselworld (many images that are still under strict embargo), we were most impressed by how the striking, wondrous world of Star Wars—an immersive wonderland of art, design and imagination—had found itself so neatly reflected onto one's wrist.
