Ficouture Nanga Sleeping Bag

The design-forward Japanese outdoor brand’s latest offering, now available in the US

Quality, functionality and beautiful design being their unspoken top priorities, Japanese brand Ficouture is interested in blurring that line between home, work, outdoor and play. Themed collections revolve around a different location each year, starting with Morocco in 2010 and then Cuba in 2013 to now Deutschland. Our favorites from their SS16 collection include their durable circle camp bag, packable nylon backpack and now their super-comfortable-looking sleeping bags.

The 100% nylon (coated in Teflon) sleeping bag is manufactured in Japan, and 750FP duck down (FP = fill power, with 750 on the top-quality end of the spectrum) means efficient insulation, both lightweight and very packable. Two pockets at the breast keep your smartphone, headlamp and other little trinkets close by and in order. But the neatest features are the bountiful zippers that let your feet out, so you can walk around swathed in warmth.

Their sleeping bags—as well as the rest of their SS16 collections of daypacks to ceramic campware—are now available in the US exclusively through design-centric boutique Westerlind. Available in beige, blue or white for $475.
