The transitional backpack to tote bag design gets an update

Designed to make the transition from weekday workhorse to beach-going carry-all, Alite Designs' aptly named Bike to the Beach Bag can be worn as either a backpack or carried as a heavy duty tote. Building off the original design—created in collaboration with Outlier back in 2010—the current iteration features a much sleeker silhouette and refined strap system. To ensure a long life, Alite hand-constructs each bag with 18 oz duck canvas and sturdy leather straps. Inside you'll find three dedicated pockets, including a zippered stash pocket and one specifically shaped to stow your U-Lock.

Find the San Francisco-made Bike to the Beach Bag at Alite for $135, available in three colorways.
