Swich Wireless Phone Charger

A Qi-powered stand made of natural materials in Slovenia

by Graham Hiemstra in Tech on 02 July 2014

Similar in concept and material to the Orée Pebble 2, the Swich wireless phone charger uses both natural wood and stone in delivering a wireless charge to smartphones and other such devices. Unlike the Pebble, the Swich proffers a more elegant structural form; favoring a sculptural shape topped with a slanted surface coated in micro-suction cups to keep your device in place while charging—"like riding a wave," as the Swich site says. The angled stand uses Qi technology to wirelessly charge android phones and iPhones equipped with Qi standard cases.

Visit the Swich Kickstarter campaign to learn more about the charger, made by hand from sustainable materials in Slovenia.
