Today Nikon announced the D70, its newest digital SLR. It combines professional level features and quality with slightly more accessible pricing. I'm interested to see how the image quality compares to the D100. When it hits the shelves this Spring, the D70 will cost $999 as body only and $1299 with the new 18 - 70 mm DX lens
