This image is from a large series of interactive animations in a set called Modern Living by Han Hoogerbrugge. Most of the animations work by moving your mouse over them to activate specific parts of the image-- making the character move and respond to his sorroundings, or sometimes even himself. They are all little stories about everyday life and it's said that the character in each animation is drawn after a real life person. They are really creative, and have a quirky yet unique sense of humor.
