Cell Phone as Bank Card

Oki Electric and NTT Communications announced ATM that can be used by infrared port-equipped mobile devices. You'd think they would go Bluetooth, but actually IR is more secure because the device and the machine have to be so close-- no risk of bluejacking your account information. While not a new idea, this is the first commercialization. With it, we're one step closer to the true digital wallet.
