ThirtyTwo Hood Rat Collection

Each year around this time a sleepy mountain town in Oregon explodes with snow deprived youth with one thing on their mind: snowboarding. As the only lift-serviced ski field open year-round in North America, Mt. Hood hosts thousands of boarders each summer who've traveled far and wide for the chance to ride in 60+ degree weather with the world's top pros. While it seems glamorous, the average lifestyle in Government Camp—which is really more of a glorified neighborhood than a town—is actually anything but. To celebrate the shadier side of summer living, ThirtyTwo recently released the Hood Rat collection, a series of soft goods adorning graphics designed by team rider Danny Larsen.

With just five pieces in the capsule collection, you'll hardly have to work any hours in the lodge gift shop to cop the whole kit. And even if esoteric snowboard culture isn't your thing, there are few lightweight garments as versatile as a black coaches jacket. Available online from ThirtyTwo where items sell for between $20 and $80.
