Clad in sterile white aprons, 300 fashion soldiers took to the streets of San Francisco last weekend to march on behalf of the upcoming collaboration between Maison Martin Margiela and H&M. The Silent Manifesto speaks to Margiela's notorious anonymity, which allows the clothing to remain the main message, while the visually compelling, public declaration channels H&M's ethos to make high fashion accessible to everyone.
The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collections hits stores this Thursday, 15 November 2012, and includes styles designed specifically for both men and women, but fans of the Belgian fashion house will be pleased to see Margiela's androgynous aesthetic is still at large throughout much of the collection.
