Soon-to-be-wed college sweethearts Michael Tyburski and Perrin Drumm also happen to be Cool Hunting contributors. Michael has directed several of our videos including Minnesota Roller Girls, Brimfield Antique Fair and Bristol Cars. Perrin’s stories include Word of Mouth travel pieces and a broad range of design and culture features. We recently asked the duo to check out Levi’s® Fall 2012 Collection and pick their favorites. Here are Michael’s.

A daily cyclist, Michael naturally took to the Commuter series. The Hooded Trucker Jacket features a NanoSphere® protective finish that makes it water resistant and dirt repellant. At first glance the jacket looks like the standard jean jacket we all know and love, but closer inspection reveals cycling-optimized features like utility pockets, reflective tape on the side tabs and a nylon hood zipped away in to the collar. Best of all, shoulder gussets allow for free arm movement to reach handle bars or even just to put on a backpack.

The 505™ Straight Fit Commuter Jeans feature the same protective finish as the jacket but over a 9.8oz stretch twill finished using Levi’s® sustainable Water

The Commuter Hooded Trucker is available for $128 and the 505™ Jeans for $78.
