While part of the "joy" of crafting is making do with sub-par materials or coming up with your own elegant solutions, sometimes finding the best tools for the job makes the difference between hours of frustration and DIY satisfaction. Dutch Trade Shop iron-ons are the easiest to use and highest quality iron-ons we've found, which makes personalizing clothing and accessories a fun 20-minute project rather than an afternoon of cursing. Developed after owner and founder Vivian Y. Kim's disappointment with ink-jet transfers and her subsequent discovery of '70s-era flock reversal process, her line of flocked transfers includes four fonts and a collection of icons, including lions, wings, stars, chevrons, and (coming 25 July 2006) a skull and crossbones. Prices start at $6 from Dutch Trade Shop.
