Debuting Converse’s New Jack Purcell Signature Leather

A buttery, premium upper is just one of many luxe attributes of these sneakers

In Converse’s array of iconic footwear, Jack Purcells have long stood out for their classic low-top design. Over the last year now, Converse has been releasing an updated Signature division of the style which incorporates modern touches and technological advances—and today they’ve announced the latest addition, which is the first premium leather iteration. It’s soft and smooth, wearable but durable—and the whole point is that they require no breaking in. The entire upper is luxe, while maintaining the chill, low-key reputation this sneaker has acquired.

To round out the features, the Signature Leather incorporates an Ortholite footbed and Nike Zoom Air Technology for comfort (both have been available in the Signature series for some time). There’s also an open weave forefoot for breathability. These shoes are comfortable and yet a dressed-up version of their predecessor.

The new Fall 2015 Converse Jack Purcell Signature Leather collection will be available 25 June 105 in Burnt Umber, Black, and White colorways, for $140 at Converse stores and online.
