Adidas Originals’ New Stan Smith Horween Leather Pack

Refreshing an iconic silhouette with premium materials just in time for Fall

One of the most recognizable sneaker silhouettes of all time, adidas’ Stan Smith tennis shoe has seen many an iteration and upgrade since it was officially renamed (from the Haillet) in 1971. The latest reimagining of the classic sneaker features a collaboration with another heritage brand: the Horween Leather Company. Under their adidas Originals product category this new collection features an updated Stan Smith Classic and Mid. Both have been crafted from a single deconstructed piece of leather upper—accented by an over cast stitching heel detail and two gold foil adidas Originals logos. The Stan Smith design DNA is present and accounted for, but the refined details and Horween’s use of premium Essex leather lend more of a luxuriant, dressed-up look. It’s definitely worth noting that we’ve seen how Horween leather ages—and it’s beautiful. This means these sneakers will grow old gracefully.

adidas Originals Stan Smith PC and Stan Smith Mid PC will retail for $150 and $160 respectively, in store and online, starting 9 October 2015.
