Though they’re yet to reach Harry Potter level, physicist Andrea Alu and his team are certainly making some headway in their study of invisibility. By scattering and bending light, they’ve totally changed the way you see what lies behind the materials they’re using, but nothing is invisible just yet. Here’s the trouble: The spectrum of light, both visible and invisible, is so vast that it’s nearly impossible to account for all of it at once.
