Microchip Implants for Employees
on 02 February 2015
In Sweden, a company is implanting RFID microchips into its employees. The chips—much like the ones embedded into pet dogs—are about the size of a rice grain and are placed just beneath skin between the thumb and index finger. The new program is meant to give employees a more intuitive interaction with functions like unlocking doors, using the photocopier and, in the future, buying food at the in-house cafe.
