CH Omakase 2017: Port of Mokha Coffee Beans and Dandelion Collaboration

High-quality products with a rich history in a tasty sampler set that will feed more than your mouth

Port of Mokha makes some of the most extraordinary coffee we’ve tasted—grown in Yemen, and roasted in Oakland. Beginning in the 16th century, for some 150 years, Yemen was the exclusive coffee supplier to the rest of the world. This incredibly rich heritage was given new life in 2013 when Yemeni-American Mokhtar Alkhanshali tasted the first coffee he ever enjoyed and became obsessed—from studies to visiting coffee growing regions in Yemen, to hiking mountains and (most importantly) meeting with local farmers. Alkhanshali found that many farmers were making more money producing the drug “khat” than coffee beans. He persuaded many of them that by elevating their coffee quality, they could make more money. By offering education and empowerment to many farmers, and in turn creating a product of the highest quality, Port of Mokha was born.

For 2017’s CH Omakase, Port of Mokha has put together a sampler kit of their rich and flavorful coffees. Since there’s almost nothing more satisfying to enjoy with a coffee than chocolate, we’ve also included a collaboration between CH favorite Dandelion Chocolate and Port of Mokha. Part of the decadent set is Dandelion chocolate-covered Port of Mokha coffee beans—a celebration of two incredible products of the highest quality.

CH Omakase is a collection of never seen before, pre-release and collaboratively designed gifts delivered in time for a holiday surprise. You can see our collection from this past season here.
