We don't want you to think that we at Cool Hunting sit around drinking all the time (having just posted Pimm's Cup, another of our favorite drinks) but it was so hot and humid last weekend that all I could think of was enjoying a Mint Julep. I found a great recipe (I subbed honey for the sugar) at the Bulleit Bourbon site, and after a few calls was able to find a bottle of this great whiskey that Tom Bulleit makes following his great-great-grandfather's recipe, dating from Louisville in the 1830s. For us this passes all the testsâgreat taste, well-designed bottle, slightly hard to find, family recipe. And it makes one fine Mint Julep.
