Animated Recipe: Painkiller Cocktail

Tropical vibes abound in this GIF guide to making this refreshing mixed drink

While we fully believe that moderation is key to leading a healthy and happy lifestyle, there’s no harm in a cocktail every now and then—especially when they’re made with fresh, quality ingredients. This is a take on the British Virgin Islands’ drink of choice: the Painkiller. This cocktail, made famous by Pusser’s Rum, will transport you from cramped apartment kitchen to the breezy beaches.

Ingredients:

¼ orange + peel

2 oz pineapple juice, no added sugar

2 oz rum (we used Sag Harbor Rum)

1 ounce coconut milk

½ teaspoon your favorite sweetener (optional)

crushed ice

whole nutmeg

Muddle ¼ orange.

Add pineapple juice, rum, coconut milk and sweetener (if using).

Shake.

Pour over crushed ice.

Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.

And also orange zest. Enjoy.
