Stringless Pleasure Stereo System
(25 February 2008) - by Brian FichtnerAudiophiles have had a tough time of it in recent years. Ever since the digital music revolution made it possible for music lovers to archive entire collections on a hard drive, high fidelity and the golden age of home audio equipment have all but disappeared. Fortunately for the stalwarts, a few companies still value the home stereo system as an important element...

First Look: Sonos Digital Music System
(25 March 2005) - Until I had my iPod and Tivo I never knew how much I needed both. Now that Ive had the opportunity to test out the Sonos Digital Music System, I smack myself in the head and wonder how I ever lived without it. This is one of the coolest gizmos to hit the market in a long time and it couldnt be easier...

(07 March 2005) - Clearly a nice match, the British company Bowers & Wilkin aka B&W teamed up with style aficionados Maharishi to make these limited-edition DPM 601 speakers. The speakers are wrapped in the house DPM snow camouflage pattern, sprinkled with bonsai trees and dragons. The speaker has all the features you would come to expect from B&W. Pyramat Sofa
(07 January 2005) - After stumbling around the CES for a couple hours this sofa was an intriguing and welcomed sight. It's from Hollywood based Pyramat, manufacturer of sound furniture. While the dynamic of a trade show made it hard to get a sense of the sound quality this thing was putting out, I think it was pretty good. It's probably more suited to gaming than anything else,...

Acoustical Art
(09 December 2004) - Acoustical Art speakers are hi fidelity loudspeakers housed in PVC piping. These hand-made beauties are great looking, though pricey. Anyone out there ever hear them-- do they sound as good as they look? via Urban Spy ...

More pictures after the jump. ...

Sonos Digital Music System
(09 June 2004) - Launching a similar product on the heels of Sonos, however what they've got is so much better. Don't get me wrong, AirPort Express is fabulous and useful and AirTunes is a very smart addition. Two things make Sonos better: the wireless units you put in each room have built in amplifiers (so no need to have an existing stereo system) and the system comes...

AirPort Express and AirTunes
(07 June 2004) - Apple has just announced the AirPort Express pocket size WiFi base station. For the traveller, AirPort Express will free you from the uncomfortable hotel room desk that houses the oh so short ethernet cable. For the rest of us, it will (when used with the AirTunes software) allow music to be broadcast from the Mac to any, or many, home stereo systems. So simple....
