Fancy Pants Punk
(12 August 2005) - Gossip monger cum fashion designer Jared Paul Stern is best known for his contributions at the New York Post and Star magazine. His new fashion line, Skull & Bones, is a pleasant diversion from all that. Launched with a few items back in April available at exclusive boutiques, the tie (my favorite piece in the line) is available online at Elsewares for $125. Fueling...

Polo Skull Slip-ons
(11 August 2005) - I've been a long-standing fan of the skull as graphic, symbol and stylized object. Now that it's chic, artisans like Wings & Horns and mainstreamers like Vans have made skull-adorned products more available. I've found great skull t-shirts and a skull ring, and from Polo-- pants, a belt and a bathing suit that have a simple embroidered skull pattern-- the same pattern as you...

Odin
(05 July 2005) - Tucked on a side street in New York's East Village, finding the men's apparel and accessories store Odin can feel like going shopping in your stylish best friend's closet. Opened in August 2004 by co-owners Paul Birardi (ex-financial planner to Coach and Barney's) and DJ/art director/designer Eddy Chai (the store's name derives from his childhood fascination with Norse mythology), it's still a relatively new...

Driftwood Skulls
(23 May 2005) - Hiroshi Kure is a Japanese sculptor with a passion for skulls and resin composites that look like natural materials. There is a lot of skull paraphernalia out there these days, but these rings are the most exciting I've seen so far. He has made them in silver as well as this resin composite, and has even enameled a few in pastel colors just for...

Taroshooten Skull Ring
(01 February 2005) - For the rocker or badass in us all. The ring is designed by TaroShooten. As a lover of all things kawaii (japanese for cute), this ring, with its simple, yet elegant design, appeals to both the sensibilities of grace and deviance. The Japanese cataolgue for TaroShooten has three versions (one with blue eyes, which is my favorite color! So if you're in Japan... hook...

The Hundreds
(04 August 2004) - LA based, The Hundreds, came up with this funky little juxtaposition. Pink and skulls... almost as luscious as pink and camouflage! Check out all the great designs in their Fall collection....

Christopher
(07 July 2004) - Christopher's first collection, Skulls and Dreamers is kind of like seeing the softer side of punk. The hard core aesthetic is balanced by slightly warm hearted content. Stay tuned for his next collection: Fly Away....

Gunther Skull
(16 June 2004) - This little (1.75" tall) skull was designed in the 18th century by Franz Ignatz Gunther for a chapel in Munich. The original moulds are still intact, and German manufacturer Porzellan Manufaktur is making them once again. Moss is selling a limited number for $355-- the perfect bauble for a rich rocker friend. ...

Aaarg. Pirate Gear.
(13 May 2003) - PirateMod! has all sorts of Pirate T-Shirts. I'm not sure if the pirate thing is coming back, or if it's just my mood at the moment. Anyway, here's how PirateMod thinks of themselves: We?re pirtate-a-holics. As long as it has a patch-eye, peg-leg, hook-hand, cutlass & flintlock, has a parrot that squaks "pieces of eight!" or strikes the colors of the skull & crossbones?WE...
