(27 June 2003) - PhoneScout is a Japanese Mobile Photo Log, however it also records the location from which the image was sent. The site includes a map that updates for each image. You can search for pictures by location or just browse. You can also access it from a cell phone, thus getting visual cues when trying to navigate the labyrinth of Tokyo streets....

I don't know if it will ever work, but Sony's Interaction Lab has come up with a pretty cool concept for eliminating buttons and avoiding the easy blunders of an exposed touch screen. In the Gummi, the team has combined a standard, rigid LCD with sensors and a touch pad all mounted in a flexible acrylic plastic...

She is doing this project for a French mapping company that is creating a digital index of the city. You can enter an address or navigate a map of the city on France TÈlÈcom's Yellow Pages site pagesjaunes.fr, demandez c'est trouvÈ ! her story was recently covered in the New York Times....
