Triangle Notebook

A geometric journal inspired by Istanbul's cultural aesthetic

by Deborah Herr in Design on 29 July 2011

Unlike standard notebooks where variety is limited to cover styles, the Triangle Notebook ditches the banal shape of a rectangle for the (you guessed it) triangle. The mod journal, designed by Turkish artist, Tan Mavitan, is a MoMA exclusive from the Destination: Istanbul collection. A reflection of Istanbul's highly geometric design aesthetic, the Triangle Notebook converts from its unusual shape into a square when opened. A durable fabric cover is sturdy yet flexible enough for optimized writing on the 144 ruled pages inside.

Snag this limited-edition notebook at MoMA's online store for $18.
