Sunflower Bean’s Valentine’s Day Playlist for Cool Hunting
Love-themed songs that span the platonic, romantic, familial and more
New York trio Sunflower Bean is finishing up their tour just in time for the release of their new album Twentytwo in Blue, out 23 March. To celebrate the record, and Valentine’s Day, the band (aka Julia Cumming, Jacob Faber and Nick Kivlen) created a playlist especially for Cool Hunting. The band says, “It’s love themed. Not just romantic love, but like love you have for all the people close to you.”
Sunflower Bean’s Twentytwo in Blue was co-produced by Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s Jacob Portrait and explores new sounds, while maintaining their familiar and charming blend of rock, psychedelic, post-punk and new wave.
