This is gonna make you freak! Theo Jansen is a Dutch artist who about 10 years ago starting using plastic tubes to create these huge skeleton animal like structures that are powered by the wind. He puts these creatures on the beach where they wait to gather enough wind power to move all on their own. He hopes to be able to someday put herds of them on the beach so they can grow and evolve on their own. The one above reminds me of the ohmu creatures from Nausicaa!!
