Cool Hunting

With only a couple days remaining, the "Smile On Your Brother" art show and auction aims to raise funds for the Contributor organization, who will donate 100 skateboards to disadvantaged children across Canada as their first charitable project.

Conceived by Cool Hunting contributor and Furni co-founder Mike Giles alongside Annie Lam, the traveling exhibit—co-curated by Bob Kronbauer, the brains behind Crownfarmer skate tees—exhibited in six cities in Canada, displaying the works of 60 contemporary artist's boards designed to inspire people to think about their first skateboard. For example, Dave Carnie decked out his bright yellow board with a mouse trap (pictured above, top right), reminding everyone of the aches and pains incurred while learning to ride and a contrast to Aaron Harowitz's all-white board's message "all is ok" (pictured after the jump).

With so many boards by so many talented artists, the Smile On Your Brother auction makes for a great way to give back while gaining a remarkable—and ridable—piece of art.
