Debuting stateside at this year's Interbike Expo, Jango's Flik folding bike adds a travel-friendly model to Topeak's line of clever multi-activity cycles.
After months of enjoyment riding Jango's full suspension bike, we're excited to see they've applied the same design principles to the Flik, while adding to it a patented VertiLink system (vertical six-bar linkage), ensuring a simple, two-second fold-up.
As part of Jango's plug-and-bike series—a modular system built to easily integrate 35 optional accessories—the Flik also accommodates a wide range of uses, but thanks to its compact frame and effortless folding capability the Flik goes wherever you go, whether to another country or just in the back of a car. Taking into account the commuter making their way through crowded urban environments, the Flik also can be "shuttled" on its wheels in its folded position.
Featuring an adjustable rear suspension, a 50-tooth front chain ring and 11-28 rear cassettes, changing the gear ratio is a cinch allowing the Flik to handle urban pavement, as well as off-road settings. The Flik comes in four different models, with either their disc or V brakes and eight or nine speeds.
For a list of worldwide Flik distributors visit the service information page on the Jango website. See more images after the jump.

The 3G Stepper is a cross between a bicycle and a StairMaster; it rides like a bicycle but is propelled by a vertical motion with your feet on two decks on either side of the frame. You stand up while riding, and your upper body gets as good a workout as your lower body does. Arriving in stores in September 2006, the 3G Stepper...
by Tisha LeungChanging the aesthetic of what a commuter bike could be, the IF-Mode, a full-size folding bike designed by acclaimed industrial designer Mark Sanders is now available in the U.S. The innovative design incorporates the benefits of a folding bike but with large wheels, ease of collapse and clean design, it's aimed at the commuter who wants to get to their destination in style....
The fruit of a joint project between Robert Squire of Weaponshouse and Sylvester of Brakeless bike shop in Montreal, the “Leg Grenade” is one slick track bike. Deciding to build a bike that rode tight and looked classic, minimal and tough, the primary components are a Large Affinity Marta frame with a Miche Drivetrain and a Surly lockring sitting on some all white Aerospokes....
Other than its elegant good looks, the main appeal of Jorg&Olif's new Dutch-style Scout bike is an upright frame that makes for a more proper way to get around town. What better way to accessorize than to add one of their coordinating bags? As a special promotion for the first 25 Cool Hunting readers to pre-order a Scout, Jorg&Olif will include one of their...
The steadily-rising price of oil, and, in London, a congestion charge of £8 for cars entering the centre of the city, mean more and more people are traveling by bike. Cheap, quick and relatively healthy (if you don't suck in lungfuls of fumes) the downsides are being caught out by the British weather and where to put your bike when you arrive. So with...
American Express just introduced their new Butterfly Card, a foldable card and keychain carrier available to all of their Gold Card holders. Similar to the Discover 2GO Card, the concept is to make taking (and therefore using) your card as convenient as possible. Since most people use some sort of key chain it's a logical choice to design around. The card can be handled...
