Cool Hunting
With the amount of sun and surf streaming out of Australia, creating a top of the line hair product to tame their manes is a concept Evo takes seriously.
The brainchild of Gavin Von Gavin, Evo's irreverent range of hair treatments saves "ordinary humans from themselves." Broken down into five Mane subranges—including Mane Attention, Contender, Craft, Rollers and Straight—Evo takes the boredom out of finding the right product and put the fun back into using it.
Products like Easy Tiger, Box O'Bollox, Gangsta Grip, Root Canal and more comprise the items within the Mane ranges, but Evo isn't just clever marketing. The Ritual Salvation shampoo and conditioner leaves hair genuinely nourished and easy to manage, while Shape Vixen adds volume and support to fine hair.
Currently available at salons in Australia, Canada and New Zealand, Evo launches Stateside this weekend at the CosmoProf show in Las Vegas and will hit stores in the U.S. this fall. For a better grip on the Evo concept, have a look at their cheeky video above.

Move over Collette Dinnigan and Stella McCartney. We've all seen Target collaborate with fashion designers, but the recently-launched Napoleon Perdis line, a designer budget cosmetic range, is an Australian first. As a Napoleon enthusiast who swears by his eyeliners, lip gloss and mosaic powder, I'm curious to see how these budget versions will take off....
Before my friends at Biggs & Featherbelle urged me to try their Muscle Soak, I'd never been a fan of baths. Their inventive mix of Ginger, Alfalfa, and woodsy essential oils took me somewhere else. The no-synthetics and their packaging are equally inventive pluses for the body care company....
Since 1870, Rio de Janeiro-based Granado has been incorporating local and natural ingredients in their hair care items, soap and lotions which come in different varieties to address specific beauty battles. One of my favorites is the Castanha de Brasil line which is specially made with chestnuts from the Amazon that help to heal dry skin and hair—the remedy was first used by indigenous...
Since Pattern Body Washes appeared in my bathroom, each shower is a new aromatic experience. The all-natural body washes are made from the finest essential oils and plant extracts without parabens, artificial colors or dyes and are available in four scents, Cucumber, Citrus, Eucalyptus and (my favorite) Black Pepper. The spicy scent is made from herbal extracts and essential oils of black pepper, ylang-ylang...
