Mover Skiwear by Lost At E Minor

mover-1.jpg

Recently coming across the smart skiwear made by Mover, I realized how completely deprived I was of snow this season—which is what's great about the brand. Their classically chic designs work just as well in city streets as they do on alpine slopes, making for a perfect compromise.

Pairing an old-school aesthetic with futuristic techniques, Swedish (though Switzerland-based) label takes wool—one of the oldest natural fibers known to man—and fuses it with the latest in fabric technology. The result is a New Zealand-and-merino wool combination laminated with a stretch lycra fabric on a Diaplex membrane.

Made entirely in Europe, the innovation is exclusive to Mover and offers extreme comfort with a snug yet flexible fit, optimal thermal protection, elegance and functionality. Just how legendary skier Dominique Perret and I like it.

Mover is available for both men and women, and can be purchased on their website.

Idiom 2009
Here's an early look at what's to come from one of our favorite snow wear brands Idiom. As we've come to expect from Burton's high end label, it seems as though designers Jeff Staple and Hiroshi Fujiwara have kept the 2009 line simple, attractive and technical, just the way we like it. Following suit with Burton's plans to become more environmentally responsible, going green...
Five Ski Sets
We've had a pretty good snow season this year out on the East Coast compared to recent seasons. With the Winter winding down now, I've had a few good months to research, check out and ponder my next ski set as I'm not so sure how much more my current decks can handle. There was a lot of new equipment released this year but...
Lifebag
For extreme sports types or those who just like to take every precaution, Swiss company Snowpulse developed Lifebag. Like an airbag, it's designed to protect the head and thorax while keeping you afloat during an avalanche. Manually deployed similar to a parachute, the 150-liter shield inflates in less than three seconds and deflates after 90 seconds. Should you get buried, when the bag deflates...
