Rémy Martin Louis XIII Collaborations by Karen Day

The process of making cognac is a combination of art, science, experience, devotion and genius. In keeping with the passion and vision that goes behind each bottle, cognac connoisseur Rémy Martin has teamed up with visionary artists from the world of art, design, photography and architecture on various projects.

An ideal match for the luxury brand, Rémy Martin asked French industrial designer Christophe Pillet to create a limited-edition set to accompany Louis XIII cognac. The contemporary set includes a silver illuminated serving platter, a crystal glass and candleholder and a display case. A protégé of Philippe Starck, Christophe has worked independently since 1993 designing products for some of the best brands in the world including Capellini, Shu Uemura, Driade and the interior architecture of the Hôtel Sezz in Paris. The set is available upon request on the Louis XIII website.

Another brilliant collaboration, Rémy Martin also recently launched a book by Matthew Rolston, "beautyLIGHT", a showcase of some of Matthew Rolston's best photographs from the past 20 years. Discovered by Andy Warhol at an early age, in addition to Interview Magazine, Matthew has shot iconic covers for numerous publications like Rolling Stone and BlackBook, as well as directed music videos for Madonna, Janet Jackson, Lenny Kravitz and more. Be one of 600 to pick up the collector's edition, which includes a signed print.

Bblessing Home Absinthe Set
One of our favorite men's stores, Bblessing, just launched their brand-spanking new home line. These graphic absinthe spoons—the first pieces in the line—were designed by Surface to Air's Daniel Jackson in keeping with the store's interior, which was "very much inspired by my own abstraction of a fin de siècle Absinthe bar." For those unfamiliar with the absinthiana, the ritual of drinking the famed,...
Half Pint Power
Your favorite pint glass just got more useful. From Innermost comes a stylish and functional half-pint mug. Currently available only in the UK, the mug comes in white and black and has a twin wall so hot beverages (read: green tea or a vanilla latte) won’t burn your hands and cold beverages stay cool like they’re supposed to. The mugs run £9.95 each (about...
Float Pilsner Flutes
The new Float Pilsner Flute from Molo Design is an eye-catching way to enjoy your summer ale in style. Seemingly suspended in mid-air, beers and other potables are instantly transformed into conversation pieces as soon as they're poured. These glasses, individually handcrafted in the Czech Republic, are not only visually unique, but also functional: the design keeps condensation away from the bottom, making coasters...
Dror x Target Stack Bookcase
Much like their wildly successful diffusion lines with fashion designers, Target's new line with Dror Benshetrit signals a willingness to take on smaller industrial designers than they have previously and package them for the masses. Of the upcoming collection of bedding, furniture and stationery, all designed with small spaces in mind, we think the Stack bookcase ($90, due out later this month) is the...
