Owindo Lighting by Evan Orensten
Self-taught Designer Max Lam started Owindo as an offshoot of his Hong Kong-based Moderne Interior Design firm a few years back.
His 1960s and '70s-inspired lights now come in pendant, floor, wall, and table styles. He's recently introduced a new white finish in addition to the chrome-plated styles. A few of our favorites include (from top left, clockwise) the Prism Sixty, C.C.C.5.5P, Tube Complex and Diamond Complex.

P.A.M. x Undercover Shade Lamp
Using macabre imagery to form an eerily symbolic sculptural piece, Jun Takahashi of Undercover joined forces with P.A.M. to create the Shade Lamp. The scene depicts a tree growing out of (or through?) a skull in a cemetery somewhere with the branches (fittingly) holding the shade. For mood lighting, I like the green and gold eyes, but my favorite part of the lamp has...

Green Home LED Christmas Lights
We like a good Christmas light job as much as the next person, but there are always concerns about energy consumption and the like. Green Home, a pioneering outfit that's run out of a basement in San Francisco's working-class Richmond District, offers a good array of LED Christmas lights that saves energy (and money). Bulbs are available in both traditional (starting at $12.50) and...

Lee West
Lee West is a young English designer who has been working in Paris since 2000. He's quickly made a name for himself "Create(ing) useful objects with maximum material quality" for Ligne Roset, Cinna, Arc international, Paco Rabanne perfumes and Seiko. We like his sensibility for organic forms and mirrored surfaces. Here are a few of his works (more after the jump): His Boss table...

Estudio Manus: Peixe Collection
Estudio Manus' porcelain goods are hitting MoMA's Design: Brazil collection, but with keen foresight, the São Paulo duo is already making emphatic forays into other objects and furniture under the guise of its newest collection called "Peixe." With similar irreverence as their other pieces, like a porcelain cup with ears, this time they're proving they also work well building environments and in the architectural...
