Maccheronian Italian Army Sneaker by Tim Yu

From the shoe brand that produces NATO's military shoes, Maccheronian recently released a shoe for civilians named the Italian Army Sneaker. Handmade in Romania, they claim to provide the comfort and support needed if you were to go to battle.
The Italian Army Sneaker features an upper that utilizes both canvas and suede providing for different textures and lines. We love its simplicity and attractive details, especially the use of the Italian national colors with the logo on the midsole and the two green and red lace holes. A brand that's popular in Eastern Europe and Japan, we're excited to see more from them in the future.
Currently available in black and off-white for ¥15,500 from ZoZo shop.

I first discovered the delicate hand-bound books of Angela Liguori nearly eight years ago, while working at a design shop in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where she happened to be a resident teacher at Hollander's School of Book and Paper Arts. Now based in Boston, Angela continues to produce custom-made invitations, business cards and books through her graphic studio, Carta, Inc. In addition to her...

Waraku and Namitatsu
Last week I stumbled upon Waraku and it instantly became my new favorite store in LA. Sneakers and T-shirts are imported directly from Japan with a focus on brands and styles not typically available in the US. I was able to grab a pair of Nike Sabaku slip-ons (below, left) and also learned about Namitatsu, the Japanese surf brand. Namitatsu, which translates to "wave...

Bape World Coming Soon
Japanese sneaker and street-wear brand, A Bathing Ape has launched their web site at bape.com, but nothing seems to be there. Well, that's not entirely true. There's a splash page with a big download button. I downloaded the file and ran it (with some hesitation). Immediately my firewall went off as the app tried to contact its home server. I let it thru (with...
