Globe-Trotter x J. Crew Luggage by Jacob Resneck

jcrewglobetrotter1.jpg jcrewglobetrotter.jpg

J. Crew has been making some surprisingly well-executed forays into the luxury market as of late and the latest such unexpected product is a collaboration with the British maker of hand-made traveling cases and trunks, Globe-Trotter. Though the New York-based clothier isn't the first to team up with Globe-Trotter (see the Conran shop's 2007 offering), their partnership goes further introducing a six-piece line of luggage in a gorgeous black and tan colorway with gold hardware.

We like the Globe-Trotter Centenary 21" trolley case, retailing for $1,800, which like rest of the Globe-Trotter’s line, has been designed to withstand the weight of a one-ton elephant and the rigors of travel. Made in England, it's available (along with the other pieces) in limited quantities from J. Crew.

An exclusive first look, Context drops another collabo today, this time with Kicking Mule Workshop for an ultra limited-edition pair of denim pants. A small production of only 50 pairs worldwide, the shuttle-loomed denim leaves a clean white selvage line—but the dying process is what really sets them apart. To make the dye, harvests of the indigo leaves from the Okayama Prefecture in Japan...
Hamilton ODC X-02
Hamilton's latest ODC X watch continues to draw on the 1966 Kubrick-commissioned original, a limited-edition watch featured in "2001: A Space Odyssey" and so eye-catching that both Vogue and Esquire featured it. In 2006, Hamilton decided to rework the ODC-X and came out with another limited-edition timepiece, "X-01." After tremendous positive response to the sequel, Hamilton started brainstorming for the next concept. The new...
Avroko for Mona & Holly
From the award-winning restaurant design team Avroko comes an equally adept collection of "uniforms" for the playful womenswear label Mona & Holly. Muddling the lines between service and fashion, Avroko's recent endeavor was inspired by the modest nurse attire from the 1900s and the glamorous steward outfits of the '50s, resulting in a collection of beautifully detailed, elegant apparel. The limited edition line will...
