United Nude Cupped Heels
by Leonora Oppenheim
United Nude have done it again with the Cup, a new model from the Spring/Summer '08 collection with interchangeable heel backs. The consistent inventiveness of this brand's footwear design is just a pleasure to behold. Unlike the Mobius and the Eamz styles, the Cup isn't a particularly radical shape but the heel feature is one of the best examples we've seen of convertible fashion.
Each pair comes with three different colors of plastic heel backs, which slot smoothly over the heel and are held in place by the sexy ankle strap. With two different heights and several materials to choose from, it's a game just to make up your mind about which pair, before you even get to take them home and play with your color combinations. What a great way to step into Spring!
United Nude shoes are available in their London and New York stores and online.
First Look: Bell & Ross BR Instrument Grand Minuteur and Minuteur Tourbillon
by Watchismo
I'm proud to introduce the first look of two new watches from Bell & Ross. The Limited Edition BR Instrument Minuteur Tourbillon and Grand Minuteur. Using aeronautical instrumentation, the highest standard for readability, reliability and performance, Bell & Ross designers have sought to reproduce as faithfully as possible a cockpit timepiece that fits on the wrist.

Rejected Star Wars figures
by Lost At E Minor
Merchandizing was as important to the Star Wars franchise as the films themselves. Almost anyone can probably remember some random product those iconic movies generated. For every Luke Skywalker action figure and plastic light saber that hit the shelves over the past 30 years, dozens of product ideas were rejected.
Sidney Lo: What Are Your Wearing Today?
by Ami Kealoha
by Laurice Parkin
Sidney Lo's show, "What Are Your Wearing Today?", which he describes as "an exercise in time and digital replication," is a group of photographs documenting the passage of time and the agent of change that it is. Going beyond the notion of a photograph as simply a moment of time captured, Lo's work makes viewers privy to the time that has passed before and after. (Click images for detail.)
Every day, for one year starting 10 March 2007, Lo (a Brooklynite by way of San Francisco) photographed himself. He shaved his head to physically illustrate the passage of time and its inherent ability to transform. To coincide with his growing hair, he also worn the same jeans daily to further illustrate the ephemeral nature of physical things as time passes. Seen individually the pictures show the documentation of an individual, but seen as a whole, the show documents a year in life with time leaving telltale marks and reminders of a year past.
At only 21, Lo's work shows a maturity beyond his years and proves him to be a thoughtful documentarian of both people, place and well—time. You can check out more of his portfolio on his site.
