Elev8 Me Protein and Fruit Bars by Jonah Samson

elevateme.jpg elevateme_matcha.jpg

If you're anything like me, you've searched long and hard for a protein and energy bar that wasn't filled with loads of chemicals and artificial ingredients. After reading about and trying a couple of flavors of Elev8 Me bars, I started buying them by the case!

Elev8 Me bars were created by a very physically active family in Vancouver who wanted to create the world's simplest protein snack while keeping the finished product as close to what nature created as possible—with no added colors, flavors or sweeteners. Each bar is a simple blend of premium whey protein and dried fruits and nuts (which are mostly organic). The result is a snack that is gluten-free, soy-free and sulphite-free, has 18g of protein, and that is entirely delicious.

Available in six flavors, my personal favorites are the Matcha Green Tea and the Cocoa Coconut Cluster.

Check out their website for local suppliers or to order online.

Peeled Snacks
Noha Waibsnaider created Peeled Snacks a year ago when she couldn't find healthy snack foods at the grocery store. Three varieties are available, and all feature only dry roasted nuts and large chunks of dried fruits with no added sugar, oils, etc. One adds dark chocolate chunks. All are great, though we're partial to FigSated, which has apricots, dates, figs, almonds and pistachios. They...
TerrAmazon Snacks
In the infinite quest to find the most obscure curative health food, TerrAmazon makes a convincing case. With goji berries fast becoming a household name, the creators of TerrAmazon had to explore remote corners of the Amazon rainforest for their snacks. Take their Organic Yacon Slices, for example. Recently rediscovered as a superfood, the indigenous Andean tuber is sliced and then partially dried. The...
Danielle Exotic Fruit and Veggie Chips
by Maxwell Gold Not all dried fruit snacks are created equally. Danielle all-natural, preservative-free Crispy Fruit and Crispy Veggie chips are a step above most other snack foods. We love them because they are cooked in small batches and seasoned with just a touch of salt to bring out the full flavor and to ensure superior taste. We're especially enamored with the thick-cut Crispy Banana...
Real Food Organics Vitamins

Using only fruits and vegetables with the highest nutrient contents, they are blended and pressed into easy-to-swallow pills making for up to 2 servings of your daily fruits and vegetables intake to supplement any diet. Pretty soon we'll...
