Muji Soho by Leonora Oppenheim

MujiSoho.jpg

For you New Yorkers who have been sneaking into the Moma store to get your Japanese minimalist design fixes or stocking up when abroad, your time has come. The full-blown Muji experience is opening in New York on Friday, 16 November 2007, in Soho. For many this will be a dream come true. For others it will be a new adventure into the land of beautifully functional sleek clothes, furniture and accessories, which have no brand but can only have come from one store.

Who knew such joy could be found in small transparent acrylic boxes, colorful pencils, beige notebooks, chic flip flops and modular storage units? For the extra-eager there will be a free giveaway to the first five hundred customers who come to the store and shop on the opening day. It's anyone's guess what delicious Muji design gift will be in "My Bag."
