Os Gemeos: Assum Preto by Wendy Dembo
Os Gemeos are rounding out the summer with a show “Assum Preto” in Milan at Galleria Patricia Armocida, opening this Monday, 3 September. This is Os Gemeos' first solo show in Italy and it is the inaugural show for the gallery. The artists will be showing six new canvases as well as making an installation on-site . Luckily, they have brought their older brother Arnaldo to help—they've only got 10 days to finish. But if anyone can do it, the Pandolfo brothers can. (Click image for detail.)

Os Gemeos: The flowers in this garden were planted by my Grandparents
Os Gemeos, our favorite identical Brazilian twin artists Otavio and Gustavo Pandolfo, have many reasons to be excited about their new show, “The flowers in this garden were planted by my Grandparents.” First of all it's the duo's first solo museum show. Also, their good friend and mentor Barry McGee has previously showed at the Museum Het Domein. The twins pulled off a feat,...

Behind the Seen
Artists best known for their work in public often have an entirely private body of work that doesn't make it out into view. Recognizing this, Michael DeFeo (the Flower Guy) assembled Behind the Seen, an international group show featuring rarely seen artwork not typically associated with the artists. Including work from Blek le Rat, Shepard Fairey, Ron English, Richard Hambleton, Keith Haring, Maya Hayuk,...

The show includes editions of silkscreens on paper, a series of monoprints, three-dimensional multiples created using skateboards, porcelain-baked enamel on steel panels, and metal sculptures (pictured above: an unpainted version), which are already causing a buzz. Mike Nelson: A Psychic Vacuum
At a time when modern high-rise condos are transforming much of NYC's landscape, it's more and more important to preserve what makes the city unique. U.K. artist Mike Nelson embraces this sentiment with his first major installation in the U.S., “A Psychic Vacuum,” presented in conjunction with Creative Time. Imagine a derelict building located in Manhattan's Lower East Side—former home to the bustling Essex...

Carlos Dias: Exposição Veraneyo
In "Exposição Veraneyo," São Paulo artist Carlos Dias tackles the chaos and spirit of street art, taming it long enough to capture it on and with whatever—toys, canvas, picture frames—he has at hand. His second solo show at underground art space Choque Cultural is packed with work, a presentation appropriate because it reflects his special treatment of art. This stuff takes time to absorb...
