Tillmann Lauterbach
by Ami Kealoha

"Insanity, especially the hidden things beneath the surface," characterize Paris-based designer Tillmann Lauterbach's spring collection of high-waisted pleated trousers, tailored trenches, and softly layered knits in a spare color palette. The utilitarian exterior masks an intricate and feminine interior of thin layers of cashmere and silk, a surprising and artful detail that lend a "balance between wearability and innovation” to the collection, christened “Departure FF/Our." Tillmann's spring collection also saw the launch of a menswear line, although as he puts it, "I'm thinking about the men's line as a prelude to the women's, and always trying to find new ways to tell a story." Deckchair Dreams 2007
by Tim Yu

Deckchair Dreams is a project by the The Royal Parks Foundation, benefiting London’s eight Royal Parks. Twenty-five artists including Will Young, Blek le Rat, Damien Hirst and even a few school children were asked to decorate canvas deckchairs used throughout the parks.
Started in 2005, this year the project aims to highlight the trees and wildlife of the eight Royal Parks. Some of the chairs are available for purchase in very limited quantities or visitors can rent them for £2 for four hour sessions until October 2007.
