Two Berlin Boutiques: Lil*Shop and Wood Wood by Wendy Dembo

Comme des Garçons opened their first of their "Guerilla" stores in 2004 in Berlin. It was supposed to stay open for one year, but how can you put an end to such a good thing? So the women who ran the Guerilla store opened Lil*Shop, which carries vintage Comme des Garçons, as well as special Nike products like Nike Vintage Running shoes. It's a nice place to shop.

Wood Wood has two stores in Copenhagen where they're based and one in Berlin. The store carries 40% Wood Wood, their clothing with crisp graphic prints for the whole family: men, women and kids. They also carry Bernhard Willheim, Kim Jones, sparkly Uslu Airlines make-up and just for the summer they have some special paint-splattered pieces by Oliver Rodriguez (see below left). Also, you can pick up fun magazines like Arkitip and Purple, the AKA series of graffiti books, Span of Sunset toys and skateboards.

Fallow Boutique
The perfect balance between Shiraz and Parmesan is the metaphor that came to mind when we met Nat Denning, a fashion retailer, and Michael, a retail shopfitter, who have combined to create Fallow, one of Australia's most stylish and unique boutiques. Stocking the best of Australian and international labels including Friedrich Gray, Claude Maus, St Augustine Academy and Chronicles of Never, this boutique is...
Brecho Luxo
Only a little more than six months old, Brecho Luxo is causing somewhat of a sensation with the fashion cult here in São Paulo. Founded by Paula Reboredo and Gil Franca, who run the São Paulo street fashion blog Freakstyle with journalist Maira Goldschmidt (that we told you about last year), opened the vintage store with a fabulously edited selection of clothes and accessories...
A.P.C. Surplus, Brooklyn
We were among the excited first today to check out A.P.C.'s latest store (and the second of their outlets worldwide) today in Brooklyn. Called A.P.C. Surplus for its flat 60% discounted prices, the Williamsburg storefront is housed in a beautiful former bank with plenty of rustic charm (i.e. it looks as if it recently caught fire). At only 600 square feet, the space feels...
dREALM Fall
With the recent drop in temperature I've been looking for some Fall gear. We already told you about dREALM and 38 Regular, a small shop in the East Village section of New York that hand-stitches all their pieces in the city, often right in the back of their small shop. It's a destination for finding truly original and high quality items that are sure...
