Wolf and Pack

by Tim Yu

WolfandPackScunT.jpg WolfandPackWreathT.jpg

Amsterdam based Wolf and Pack believe that the t-shirt is an instrument to incorporate art into everyday life. Born from two veterans of the street scene, Julian Lynn (New York) and Gabriel Hunter (Philadelphia), their T-shirts blend hard-edged design with a playful take on life. Made in limited quantities, I really like the gun/skull graphic (above left). Take a look at the rest of their apparel starting at 40€ here.

Sundance Messenger Bag

by Jacob Resneck

messengerbagmetro.jpg

In 1969, Robert Redford founded the Sundance village —a pastoral escape at the foot of the Utah's Wasatch Mountains and established a general store. Popular demand for its stock—mostly crafted by local artisans—led to the establishment in 1989 of the Sundance Catalog. The canvas messenger [sic] bag ($148), based on the bags popularized by bike messengers from San Francisco to Copenhagen is sturdy, attractive and and functional.

Crafted of linen, cotton and leather, these bike messenger bags are perfect for schlepping laptops (they have a built-in padded pocket), books and other necessities of daily life for the bike commuter, subway rider or pedestrian.

Tomorrow Unlimited presents the first annual Creators Series, a multidisciplinary conference that highlights emerging creative cultures and social change through discussion panels, musical events and a free art exhibition. The series will be held over successive weekends starting in New York and ending in Los Angeles.

Bringing together some Cool Hunting favorites, the Social Interfaces Panel of the series will investigate new platforms of creative interaction design. Including web-based artist and storyteller Jonathan Harris (below left), Martin Kaltenbrunner from the ReacTable team (above) and interactive artist Theo Watson (below right), the panel will discuss the ways humans interact with one another in the digital and physical worlds. The panel is at 1:00pm on Sunday, 10 June 2007 at The Altman Building in New York.

Cool Hunting has a pair of tickets for the Social Interfaces panel to giveaway. Doublewide Sleeping Bags By Big Agnes

by Tim Yu

BigAgnesKingSolomon.jpg

Big Agnes is a Steamboat Springs, CO based company that makes sleeping bags and pads, tents, and other camping gear and is quickly becoming a favorite of outdoor enthusiasts. We love their new Doublewide sleeping bags, which are made to accommodate couples.

The King Solomon and Dream Island Doublewide Sleeping Bags both use pads to make sleeping in them as comfortable as possible. The Big Agnes System, as they call it, requires a pad inserted into a sleeve on the bottom of the bag instead of fill, which compresses under your body. Because the pad becomes part of the bag you are guaranteed that it won't slip out from under you.

The King Solomon is lighter, down filled, and tailored for backpackers. It is highly compressible and weighs in at 5 lbs 7 oz. The Dream Island is synthetically filled with Quallofill and is geared for campers. Both bags are rated to 15º and have built in collars for two people with no-draft zippers on each side.

Both bags are available online at Big Agnes. The King Solomon is $300, and the Dream Island is $239.
