Cool Hunting
Every item in P.A.M.'s new Spring/Summer collection (titled "Dreams Freud Dreamed") has character, creative design and boasts quality construction. T-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets incorporate subtle stitching details, at times creating unique triangular shapes and textures. The graphics used are eye-catching but not loud and the jewelry is imaginative and striking. Creative cuts and details make P.A.M. a label to look out for this summer.
The Moonshake Jacket, a combination windbreaker and hooded sweatshirt, is a two-in-one reversible jacket. A light cotton sweatshirt is stitched and incorporated with a light-weight nylon jacket creating a white outer shell with grey lining (pictured below right, click on image for detail.) Isis, a T-shirt constructed from extra lightweight cotton, is perfect for the hottest summer days. Plain and simple on the front, the back features a patchwork of pyramids sewn together, hence the name. (Pictured below left, click on image for detail.)
A key item from the collection is the Fang Necklace, which is made of silver that's oxidized to give off a hint of black (above). It's a good compliment for accessorizing with the simplest of outfits.
Available for purchase online, check out the entire collection at Firmament

In recent years, Ballard has become a destination Seattle neighborhood for those in the know, thanks to Scandinavian industrial charm, a few new bars, restaurants, a gallery, music stores and boutiques—including the standout men's clothing boutique, Blackbird. With a good selection of the labels we know and love, some of the more obscure and lesser-known brands, like the Italian shoemaker Marsèll, put the two-year...
Valley, a new retail space in New York City's Lower East Side, aims to create a living room-style atmosphere by creating a one-stop shopping experience, incorporating apparel, a nail and waxing salon and a cafe. The artistically-inspired space will host seasonal art installations and events in attempt to bring clients, friends and community together. Conceived by sisters Julia, 33, and Nina Werman, 30, a...
Gorman has become one of Australia's most respected labels, not only for their sharp styling pieces that miss the fad boat staying stylish season after season, but also for their stand for eco-friendly and sustainable fashion. Recently launching their new organics collection, Gorman's winning even more green hearts with their vow to become a carbon neutral company within the next two years. This month...
Only a little more than six months old, Brecho Luxo is causing somewhat of a sensation with the fashion cult here in São Paulo. Founded by Paula Reboredo and Gil Franca, who run the São Paulo street fashion blog Freakstyle with journalist Maira Goldschmidt (that we told you about last year), opened the vintage store with a fabulously edited selection of clothes and accessories...
We were among the excited first today to check out A.P.C.'s latest store (and the second of their outlets worldwide) today in Brooklyn. Called A.P.C. Surplus for its flat 60% discounted prices, the Williamsburg storefront is housed in a beautiful former bank with plenty of rustic charm (i.e. it looks as if it recently caught fire). At only 600 square feet, the space feels...
I think I might like Stephanie Simek's latest creation even more than her Tammy Faye Eyelash necklace previously featured on Cool Hunting. Yet another eerily unusual necklace, this time she makes the pendant using an actual quail egg, which she purchases from a woman who raises quails in her backyard in Texas. Varying slightly in size but approximately 1", the entire shell is reinforced...
