Simplehuman Grocery Bag Holder by Tim Yu

Not all that impressed with the new Simplehuman sensor can, I recently bought the basic, but arguably more functional, wall-mountable grocery bag holder. This sleek, brushed stainless-steel storage unit solved my problems with unruly plastic bags spewing out of drawers and cabinets. Instead, it collects, compacts and stores away my plastic bags to recycle them for future use. Surprisingly, it fits more than 30 bags, which are easily deposited through the top hole and dispensed like a tissue. The slim profile makes it easy to mount in inconspicuous locations, but is plenty attractive to display in the open.

And unlike Simplehuman's other pricey products, the holder's only $10 from Simplehuman.

Preserve Tableware
The 39 billion disposable utensils and 29 billion disposable plates used each year in the U.S. create about 950,000 tons of waste—enough to fill more than 132,000 garbage trucks that bumper to bumper would reach Chicago from the east coast. Plastic is also made from petroleum products (no further comment necessary). So what can you do when it's not practical to use glassware, stoneware...

Designer Caressa Allen was inspired by pictorial riddles from old beer bottle caps and decided why not bring that fun into the home? Each pillow is 16" X 16", comes with a feather and down pillow insert, and...
Galen Trezise Crocheted Cozies
From the newly-opened Look boutique in SF, these handmade cozies have all the warm appeal of a sweater grandma made with an offbeat Dr. Seuss shape. According to the site, they're intended for vases but we think they'd be well-suited for dressing up a different household object that holds water and plant matter. With unusual colorways, ruffles and perforated weaves, they also hold their...
Mystic Wall Clock
The Mystic Wall Clock is a quiet addition to the new crop of products on Personal Interior Design, the Swedish internet shop. With no numbers and barely discernible hands, it's certainly not the most efficient timepiece. But what it lacks in logical components, it makes up for in eeriness. Designed by Matt Carr for Umbra, the clock's hazy finish lends an ethereal notion to...
