Head Porter Plus: The Newest Basic Style by Tim Yu

HeadPorterPlus1.jpg HeadPorterPlus2.jpg

"The newest basic style"—the latest from Tokyo-based designers Head Porter Plus—is the name they've given their recently-released spring clothing line. Originally known for their bags, Head Porter added the "plus" and have been designing clothes for some time now. They offer clean and sharp design, accenting outstanding quality with originality that takes urban apparel to a more sophisticated level.

Branching out from their usual set of classic long-sleeves, tees and sweatshirts, this new line introduces men's dress shirts, jackets and polos. The women's spring collection is arguably more captivating with breezy tank-tops, skirts and summery belted dresses.

Visit Honeyee to view "the newest basic style." Hard to find outside of Tokyo (and not so easily found within Tokyo either), Head Porter Plus is available for purchase online and in person at Firmament in Berlin and at Head Porter Annex in Tokyo.

Rittenhouse
Named for a famous square in Philadelphia, the Australian brand Rittenhouse often grabs my attention as I fumble through racks at local shops. The label is the work of designer Sally McDonald and graphic artist Micah Handorf, both of who worked for PAM and Stussy—the aesthetic bent is evident in the Rittenhouse designs. Using quality fabrics and subtle details (that still pack a punch),...
Gorman
Gorman has become one of Australia's most respected labels, not only for their sharp styling pieces that miss the fad boat staying stylish season after season, but also for their stand for eco-friendly and sustainable fashion. Recently launching their new organics collection, Gorman's winning even more green hearts with their vow to become a carbon neutral company within the next two years. This month...
Brecho Luxo
Only a little more than six months old, Brecho Luxo is causing somewhat of a sensation with the fashion cult here in São Paulo. Founded by Paula Reboredo and Gil Franca, who run the São Paulo street fashion blog Freakstyle with journalist Maira Goldschmidt (that we told you about last year), opened the vintage store with a fabulously edited selection of clothes and accessories...
A.P.C. Surplus, Brooklyn
We were among the excited first today to check out A.P.C.'s latest store (and the second of their outlets worldwide) today in Brooklyn. Called A.P.C. Surplus for its flat 60% discounted prices, the Williamsburg storefront is housed in a beautiful former bank with plenty of rustic charm (i.e. it looks as if it recently caught fire). At only 600 square feet, the space feels...
