Better known for their mountain bikes, Ellworth's The Ride is a new kind of street bicycle and the first to use the revolutionary NuVinci hub (originally developed by Leonardo Da Vinci in 1490). Instead of the complicated, hard-to-maintain derailleur systems, which drop chains, skip gears, and jolt your knees and lower back, the NuVinci continuously variable planetary (CVP) transmission utilizes tilting spheres to allow seamless pedaling gradients. The rest of the bike is designed with the same idea of producing a smoother, more comfortable and stylish ride. Dual adjusting handle bars allow a more customizable fit while the wide low profile wheels offer more traction and stability.
Made of an ultra lightweight aluminum frame, the limited "Signature" series (only 500 made) comes equipped with a useful headlight and and is available for $4000. Reserve yours here.

Cute and plastic, Woofy is a dog that obediently sits next to you all day, holding a pile of cables inside to keep your desktop neat. Designed by Gabriel Nigro, the figures are about the size of a real small dog. We like the way it's a big conspicious design element rather than a way to try to hide cables away like other products....
With the new Ikepod Black Hole, a limited edition of 66, Marc Newson's iconic watches are back—this time with more expensive materials, extensive (re)designs and overall exclusivity. I met with new owner and prominent art collector Adam Lindemann in his New York office to discuss the rebirth of the brand...
Designed from pieces of hand-painted leather, these sexy men's-style dress shoes recently premiered at Neon's winter fashion show and bring action and color to any get-up. The Brazilian label's co-designer Dudu Bertholini has been collecting leftover painted cow skin—some of them rare—from his trips abroad to New York and throughout his home country, at last finding the best use for them. Because he only...

In this era of mechanical one-upmanship, the Opus 8 from Harry Winston Rare Timepieces shone at Baselworld 2008. Inspired by early electronic LED watches of the 1970s (like the first Hamilton Pulsar), creator Frédéric Garinaud (of Renaud & Papi) and CSH developed the Opus 8 with a new twist on mechanical-digital watches. Pulling the side-lever down activates mechanical pixels to rise up from the...
Launching tonight as part of Milan's furniture festivities, the latest collaboration with leading designers and the second with blob lord Karim Rashid and Veuve Clicquot is this reinvention of a chandelier in the form of a glowing pink champagne holder that doubles as a cooling tote. The design, an asymmetrical sensual ellipse, was the result of Rashid's initial scribble after asked to meld the...
