Azimuth Round 1 Bi-Retrograde Watch by Watchismo

AzimuthRetrogradeDial.jpg

The new Azimuth Round 1 Bi-Retrograde watch is inspired by the dashboard of a Formula 1 race car. The top bi-retrograde indicator displays minutes while the bottom arc indicates the hour. Both feature hands that snap back to their starting positions after reaching the ends of their respective cycles. An automatic watch, it features a modified ETA 2836-2 mechanical movement encased in stainless steel. The dial is available in black and orange, and it comes with a perforated leather strap.

Horological Machine No. 3
I was lucky enough to be one of the first people in the world to see the latest from Maximilian Büsser & Friends last week. Max and Stephen Hallock of MB&F met me for breakfast at NYC's Brasserie to unveil the most amazing of their Horological Machines yet. I hate to use one word to describe the HM3 Sidewinder and Starcruiser but here it...
Timex x J. Crew Military Watch
This Timex Military watch stands out among J. Crew's recent collaborations. It's perfectly balanced, has a nice retro/hip vibe and is both practical, stylish and affordable. The red second hand and 24 hour dial seal the deal. It's also water resistant to 50 meters. The Timex Military watch is available exclusively at J. Crew online for $150 and (soon, we hear) at the new...
Mondrian-Inspired Watch Cabinet by Smythson
The spirit of De Stijl is alive and well, as evidenced by this Mondrian-inspired watch cabinet soon to be released by the revered luxury goods purveyor Smythson of Bond Street. Part of an entire men's collection for this fall, the cabinet is finished with a black pigskin leather exterior and contains a perpetual motion watch "rocker" that pulls out to reveal hidden storage at...
Albert Einstein's Longines Watch Up for Auction
We think this gold Longines watch is probably one of the more interesting objects you could own from Albert Einstein. He once said, "the separation between past, present, and future is only an illusion, although a convincing one." Too bad we can't ask him what a real timepiece should look like. If you'd like to own Einstein's personal Swiss wristwatch from 1930, here is...
