Superbowl Tailgating by Evan Orensten
With the Superbowl on Sunday in Miami you can be sure there will be plenty of tailgating going on. The smartest tailgating equipment we've seen, The Vulcan, is a waterproof cooler compartment, incorporating a BBQ grill and three-piece BBQ tool set into a self-contained unit on rolly wheels. The tote also has padded handles, a shoulder strap and a reinforced base.
It's available for $150 from Picnic Time.

Ski Thing
We're partial to boarding, but if you're a skier check out Ski Thing, a new ski carrier that attaches to your ski boot. It's a very simple design that allows you to place your skis in a small "cup," making walking around with your skis less cumbersome. When you hit the lift you can either remove the Ski Thing from your boot or snap...

The FlowRider on the Freedom of the Seas
When it goes to sea in May of 2006, Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas will be the largest cruise ship in the world. It will serve 3,800 (yes, 3,800) guests and an unknown number of staff to run it. Like RC's other new ships, the Freedom will have a rock climbing wall, an ice skating rink, a spa, shops, and several restaurants. But...

Anticon Hoodie
We're trying to get more details on this great new hoodie from France. The hood has a zipper and eye holes, which allow you to completely cover up your face in inclement weather—or when you just want to look like Kenny from South Park, Spiderman, or terrorize young children and bank tellers. We love it and will update you when we learn more. From...

Shift Bicycle
Shift Bicycle was designed by Scott Shim, Ryan Lightbody and Matt Grossman, and it won them top honors in a bicycle design competition held by the Taiwanese Government. The technology is simple, the back paired wheels come together by an articulated hub when the bike is in motion--but when it's still they spread apart for stability. via Engadget...

Toaster Challenge
The household toaster serves a simple purpose, but some models do it better than others. At CH we take this responsibility very seriously, and in hopes of separating the best from the average, we recently pitted four models from different manufacturers in a head-to-heat toast-off and recorded our highly subjective results. The toasters we used were the Alessi SG68, Viking VT200, Breville Smart Toaster BTA820XL...
