The Cupcake Courier by Evan Orensten
If you bake a lot of cupcakes or muffins or pick them up from your favorite bakery on your way to a party you've probably encountered the problem of delivering them without comprimise. Jennifer Gunn had this problem all to often when she made cupcakes for school events and parties; she took matters into her own hands and designed this effective means of cupcake transport to solve that very problem.
The plastic container holds three stackable trays, each with room for a dozen securely packed cupcakes. You can remove the trays and just use the base and cover to transport cakes, too.
The Cupcake Courier comes in translucent blue (other colors and trays are on their way) and is available online for $45.95 (includes shipping and handling).

Salt
Former currency, the root of the word "salary," invaluable preservative and the source of wars and conflict, salt's role in society dates back to ancient times. Mark Kurlansky, the author of Per Se serves 30 million year-old "Jurassic" salt from Montana, and Fleur De Sel (named for its flower-shaped crystals) rolls off the tongues of home cooks as easily as Morton's. For CH's survey...

Got Crabs?
The International Home & Housewares Show hit Chicagos McCormick Place last week (admittedly not as cool as Carol's trip to the gaming convention in San Francisco, but I digress). After trekking miles through the three buildings (without a Sherpa, I might add) filled with things for your kitchen, bathroom, garden, backyard, pets and more, I found a handful or so great gadgets that really...
