Cool Hunting

Nabaztag/tag, the latest version of the Nabaztag, the little WiFi bunny that displays information, is here. Now communicating via sound, light and movement, it can alert you to incoming emails and appointments, among other functions. The Nabaztag/tag's new features include its bellybutton (a microphone that makes the device capable of voice activation), an ambient noise sensor that can tell if there are people in the room, the ability to recognize smells which enables programmed responses (such as alerting others that you're home when you wave your keys under its nose), and limitless talk capabilities so that you can stream audio, like blogs, music and newsfeeds, from the internet. You can also leave voice message on the Nabaztag/tag via your PC or text message for easy communication with fellow Nabaztag/tag owners and housemates, hook it up to an external speaker using a mini-jack and train it to recognize RFID tags. An improved website allows for more intuitive control of the rabbit and enables users to network with other Nabaztags.
Pre-order it for $180 from Firebox.

Adding a few capabilities that help realize its full potential, the newly-launched version of Apple's computer-to-TV entertainment software is a massive improvement over the original. The biggest plus for aesthetes like us is the 1080p output which means you can stream HD movies, TV shows and podcasts (including featured titles like CHV!) with little more than a click in iTunes (TV and movies will...

For complete coverage including gratuitous photos, check Gizmodo and Engadget. What follows are the standout details. Like the iPhone and .Mac, one of...
In our recent post on the Griffin BlueTrip we asked readers to regale us with their most memorable experience of dancing by themselves. There were a lot of great entries, some hilarious, some cringe-worthy. Here are some highlights from our two favorites: "One night, after a heavy coffee/sleeping pill combo, I apparently woke up, and hallucinating, did my best rendition of La Boheme -...
Of the bluetooth-enabled iPod gadgets hitting the market recently, Griffin's Bluetrip wins points for its straightforward plug-and-play usability. Simply connect the fin-shaped receiver to any auxiliary input using included RCA cables, pop the transmitter onto your iPod's dock, and start using your iPod as a remote from distances up to 33 feet away. Though it only produces two-channel audio (don't expect surround sound), a...
Created by London based Schulze & Webb, Availabot is a USB device that physically shows the availability of someone on your IM buddy list. When the assigned friend is available for chatting Availabot stands up; when said friend is no longer online Availabot falls down. Each unit is made to order and can be customized to your liking. I'd love to see a daisy...
Until I had my iPod and Tivo I never knew how much I needed both. Now that Ive had the opportunity to test out the Sonos Digital Music System, I smack myself in the head and wonder how I ever lived without it. This is one of the coolest gizmos to hit the market in a long time and it couldnt be easier...
