Cool Hunting
This American Life (TAL), the weekly public radio show of funny/poignant real-life stores (soon to be a Showtime series), has a new two-disc collection of episodes out called Stories of Hope & Fear and CH has a copy to give away. The third CD produced by the cultish program includes stories from TAL veteran and writer David Sedaris, "The Daily Show" correspondent John Hodgeman and music from the likes of Thurston Moore, Blonde Redhead and RZA. For fans of the series or those looking for an introduction, the release makes a great soundtrack for a long drive—like to the relatives for Thanksgiving.
Get a copy from Amazon or answer the following question correctly to win. We'll chose a winner at random from all correct entries submitted before Midnight EST on 22 Novemer 2006.

His voice is the most prominent...

Currently making quite a murmur on the London music scene is Tallulah Rendall. This singer-songwriter has been quietly honing her craft over the past few years, playing the odd festival here and there, but it wasn't until she was invited by the legendary Shirley Bassey to sing at her 70th birthday party last year that things really started to take off. Last week Tallulah...
New York-based Esopus hits newsstands only twice a year, but take a peek inside and you'll understand why. With a CD of new music in each issue, specialty papers and a hand-crafted feel, this ad-free magazine of writing and artwork strives to create a place for "unfiltered" and "un-mediated creativity." Yes, please! There's a part of us that wants to give each new issue...
This time of year brings a surplus of album releases and, for us, along with the fresh tunes comes a desire to do little more than stay home and listen to music while watching surf videos. The result is a collection of new faves and old jams, both up-tempo and down, to get you through the leap year. Magnetic Fields: Distortion The first album from...

The VIBE Duos feature the inline mic and button to switch between music and incoming phone calls similar to the Apple iPhone stereo headset. This is a must for smoothly handling unexpected...
